Ms. Colvin was raised and currently resides in Middletown Springs, Vt, after short stints in Rutland and Proctor.   She is a 1995 graduate of MRU and graduated from Castleton State College (now Castleton University) magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts (major in history, minor in sociology, and licensure in education) in 2000.  She was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi (international honor society in education).
 In addition to teaching and coaching, Ms. Colvin also spent five years (2004-2009) owning and operating her own restaurant in both Rutland and Proctor.  It was appropriately named Shenanigans!
Ms. Colvin is in her eighteenth year of teaching middle school social studies at MRU.  She was awarded the Rock Star Teacher Award in February of 2017.   Ms. Colvin is involved in all things MRU, both in and out of the classroom.  She enjoys supporting the kids of MRU at their athletics events, concerts, plays, etc.
Ms. Colvin also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and cat Bauer; summers on Spofford Lake; and trips to the coast of Maine.  She also enjoys playing softball, volleyball, and golf.
