The Mill River Union High School Interact Club provides students with many opportunities for service learning in our community and beyond.  This is a type of experiential education where students are able to develop civic engagement skills.  Students have the opportunity to work with diverse members of our community and to contribute to building a positive community.  Students are able to develop self-confidence and a commitment to public service through the variety of community service projects that the MRU Interact Club sponsors.  So far, this school year Interact members have helped at the annual Rotary Lobster Fest, picked apples and made apple crisp for all MRU students, gone Trick-or-Treating for canned goods donated to the Rutland Community Cupboard, and collected money for UNICEF.  Last year our annual ornament fundraiser raised $500 for Rutland Welcomes to support Syrian refugees coming to Rutland.  Our annual Cabot Cheese fundraiser is just getting underway.
