Volunteers
We Love Our Volunteers!
Parents and community members are always welcome to volunteer at Wallingford Elementary. Volunteers support our school in many ways. Examples include coming in to be a mystery reader in a classroom, playing an instrument in the band, working in our environmental education program, the Four Winds Institute, coaching basketball, and helping in the library. Coaches, regular volunteers and those that may have 1:1 contact with students, will be asked to complete a criminal record check at the RSSU central office.
If you are interested in volunteering in a particular classroom, we ask that you contact the teacher to set up a convenient time to come in. If you would like general information about volunteering, please contact the main office at 446-2141.
Finally, you can help our school is by participating in the Price Chopper Tools for School Program, the Hannaford’s Helps Schools Program, Campbell’s Labels for Education Program, and Box Tops for Education.
Hannafords Helps Schools and Price Chopper Tools For School
Please don’t forget to register at Hannaford and Price Chopper in the fall for the Hannaford Helps and Tools for School programs. If you purchase participating products from September to December, Price Chopper’s Tools for Schools program allows us to accumulate points toward school supplies, while Hannaford’s program gives us money. These programs really do make a difference!
Box Tops and Labels for Education
Please remember to collect Box Tops and Campbell’s labels and send them in to the school. The school receives cash from the Box Tops program for enrichment and school supplies while the Campbell’s points can be spent in a school supplies catalog. Collection boxes for Box Tops and labels can be found just outside of the WES main office.
