Jennifer McLemore

Jenn was born and raised in Rutland, Vermont.  After graduating from UVM with a BA in English and Sociology, she traveled and lived in various states until deciding that “there’s no place like home.”

Back in Vermont, Jenn graduated from the College of St. Joseph with a Masters in Education and started working at Rutland High School’s Howe Center Campus as an English teacher.  During her tenure at the Howe Center Campus, Jenn moved into the Team Leader position and began taking classes at Castleton University to obtain her license in Educational Leadership.  She served as a mentor teacher, middle school basketball coach, and class advisor while at Rutland.  Jenn also teaches part-time at the Community College of Vermont.

Jenn comes to Mill River excited to take on her new role as Assistant Principal.  She firmly believes that all students are capable of great things.  One of the key educational ingredients to unlocking student potential is strong, authentic relationships. Jenn can’t wait to learn and grow with the Mill River community.

Jenn lives in Rutland Town with her husband, Tim, and two children, Sophie and Wesley.  In her free time, she can be found driving her children to their after-school activities and playing with the family’s two dogs.  She loves reading, hanging out with her friends, and enjoying movie night with her family
